BLUE MOON YOGA

ABOUT US

Blue Moon Yoga opened in 2006 and Britney and Mike Easton joyfully became the new owners in July of 2013. Since then, the vibe and classes have continued to transform as we grow and flow as a supportive yoga community. You are welcome here, and we can’t wait to meet you!

We are passionate about helping everyone who comes through our doors pursue and achieve the amazing benefits of heated yoga. We offer our students a true hot yoga experience, using a scientifically tested heating method that ensures a dynamic yet safe environment that supports the benefits of hot yoga.  It is our secret ingredient to the healthiest and most amazing overall yoga workout possible.  Experience a variety of hot yoga and Pilates classes, including classes with a set series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises (sometimes known as “Bikram method”), as well as Hot Vinyasa Flow, Hot Power Vinyasa Flow,  Fusion Flow, Inferno Hot Pilates, Yoga Sculpt, and Yin Yoga.  In 2017, our community had grown exponentially, leading us to the decision to open a second location in Clovis in 2018, making hot yoga accessible to even more valley residents.  With the opening of the Clovis studio came the addition of the Blue Moon Juice Bar, a full service juice bar offering fresh cold pressed juices, wellness shots, juice cleanses, smoothies, and bowls.  Now, what yogis sweat out and leave on the mat, they can replenish directly from the juice bar!  In 2021, True Rest Float Spa in Fresno (right next door to Blue Moon Yoga Fresno) joined forces with Blue Moon to offer the amazingly therapeutic benefits of flotation therapy! Yoga, juice, float, REPEAT!

HAPPY CLIENTS

Since I’ve been coming to Blue Moon, I have fallen in love with yoga and everything it has to offer for my mind, body and soul. I have a dancing background and have used what I’ve learned at Blue Moon to help me achieve my lifelong goal of becoming a professional dancer. Blue Moon makes me feel like I belong there, like I am meant to be there. Each and every instructor has played a huge role in my yogi journey. From Jamie welcoming me into the studio with open arms while she guided my first ever 26&2 series and Jameson who just lightens up the room when he walks in, he makes the environment and space a place you want to be, to of course Taryn, she is nothing but amazing. I took a Vinyasa class for the first time and she just has a powerful presence when she’s in the room but is just the sweetest instructor. I have loved all my classes at Blue Moon and with all of that being said, through my dedicated practices leading up to now I am proud to say that I am an NBA dancer for the Sacramento Kings.

Before I leave to move to Sacramento, I will be completing my first challenge and I could not be happier. Expressed with love and gratitude, Blue Moon will always have a special place in my heart.

Inferno Hot Pilates is a great addition to the class schedule. I am so excited for everyone to be inspired, to sweat, to work hard, and to feel great!!

June 16, 2008 was my first Bikram yoga class and little did I know that yoga would be so inspiring to my life. After many visits to the physical therapist and acupuncturist for chronic jaw, head, neck and hip pain, they both recommended I start yoga. Yoga always looked so intimidating to me, I think it was all the unusual positions I saw people putting themselves into! I thought it would be impossible for me to ever be that flexible. I was in a lot of pain and desperately wanted to feel better. After 6 months of practicing Bikram yoga 3 to 4 times a week all my pain was gone!! My pain was caused by stress and yoga helped me manage my stress through open-eyed meditation. After my husband, Don saw all the positive benefits I was experiencing, he decided to give it a try.

Practicing at Blue Moon has helped me become more patient, calm, yet energetic.  My job can be hectic at times.  Now, I know how to take the time to breathe and stay focused with inner strength.   I have learned the more I commit to practice, the more I will benefit.

October 25, 2008 was my first Bikram yoga class. About halfway through that first class I realized this yoga would be very beneficial to my life. Training as an athlete for many years, I soon realized this was one of the most challenging workouts I’ve ever had. I have played multiple sports throughout my life and went on to play college basketball. Because of Bikram yoga I was able to continue competing for many years in half marathons, triathlons, long distance cycling, and karate. To this day Bikram yoga has enabled me to continue being active in long distance cycling, rock climbing, and hiking. My wife, Meredith and I feel so blessed to be a part of the amazing Blue Moon Yoga family and be able to experience all the health benefits Bikram yoga has given us.

The practitioners here bring me great joy! Every yoga class is an exciting opportunity to see a group of my all time favorite people. The studio is always full of smiles and connections before and after every class and is just generally filled with so much positive energy. Blue Moon expressly brings us together with events also. Twice a year many practitioners participate in a yoga challenge which inspires additional encouragement between all practitioners. Blue Moon works to help the community, hosting various fundraisers supporting local people and charities, and networking to support and promote local businesses. Blue Moon is a true asset to the community.

In addition to my fondness for the studio, the dimensions of hot vinyasa and Bikram method have me hooked for life. My practice helps me to be strong AND flexible mentally, emotionally and physically. It brings definition to every fiber of my being. I have learned so much about alignment and how to listen to my body and I consistently continue to learn and grow. I am also learning greater love and acceptance for myself and those around me. I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to try hot yoga.

My true yoga practice began at Blue Moon in January 2013. I decided to look at the woman in the mirror and set forth on a path to heal my soul. Yoga has changed my perspective on life. It has taught me to listen to my body and to validate what it’s telling me. It’s taught me that it’s okay to fall and feel pain — that I didn’t need to constantly seek distractions. It’s taught me to meditate and to focus on my breath — in and out of the hot room.

I walk into Blue Moon and I feel a sense of belonging. I am strengthened by the welcoming smiles and energy of other practitioners. I leave class uplifted and renewed. I’m thankful I found the gift of yoga in my life.

I’ve been practicing at Blue Moon Yoga for about 4 years now and love it! The studio is my 2nd home where I connect with other yogis who share the same appreciation for the practice. Yoga has helped me maintain a balance in my life mentally, physically, and spiritually. I know as soon as I step into the studio I will be greeted with warm smiles and so much positivity. At the end of each class, I leave feeling so full of clarity, love, and gratitude. The teachers, karma crew, and students at BMY are a community that I am proud to be a member of.

After experiencing consistent low back pain following several demanding running events in late 2013 and early 2014, an orthopedist suggested I cut back my training mileage to 50% and use the extra time to take up Bikram Yoga at Blue Moon Yoga. A year later, I can’t imagine my life without my practice, which also includes Vinyasa. This truly life-changing practice was revealed to me through the kind and loving expertise the teachers at Blue Moon freely share with their students–which also creates an environment where students bond into a supportive family. After 52, I now have better posture, less physical pain, a greater sense of well-being and, over the last year, I have set personal running records at the 50-mile, half marathon, 10-mile and 5K distances. The best part is my recovery time after races is a fraction of what it used to be. Running aside, yoga and the open-eye meditation you experience on the mat at Blue Moon Yoga will make your life better.

A house is made of brick and stone, a home is made of love alone.” Not only are these words appropriate for families but for me, they aptly apply to Blue Moon Yoga. I started practicing yoga there about 8 years ago. I went for 2 1/2 years nearly every day. For personal reasons I took a 2 1/2 year break and now I’ve been back at it for almost 2 1/2 years. As a former college basketball player I found that Bikram method has provided all I need to improve all aspects of myself: physically, emotionally, socially, psychologically, and spiritually. The practice is challenging, demanding, and rewarding, all at the same time. My flexibility and core strength have improved dramatically. I have lost about 25 pounds in the past year and a half by improving my foods and practicing yoga 4-5 times a week. As a Type 2 diabetic my glucose numbers stay consistently low. I attribute these benefits to Bikram method. These benefits are obvious, but the greater benefit is the people of Blue Moon. They are the ones who nurture the love, the warmth, the camaraderie, and the motivation. It is the people of Blue Moon (ownership, management, instructors, and practitioners) that are its very heart and soul. We make a great team and I am proud to be a part of it.
